We are moving and re-branding!
We are excited to announce that Focus Physio & Pilates is rebranding and moving premises within the next 30 days. The exact date is yet to be confirmed but we will let you know as soon as we know. We will be moving to 4/125 Bull Street, Newcastle West.
We are excited about the new premises. It solves some key frustrations for us and our clients, including ample parking, street frontage and a larger, cleaner and more useable space that is a better reflection of the quality of our services.
Why the change in name?
We will be known as Focus Movement Therapy. We feel it’s important for our Business name to reflect the philosophy and intent behind our services. While we utilise our physiotherapy skills to to deal with pain and injury and Pilates to help restore movement, our backgrounds in Exercise & Science with constant professional development in manual therapy, motor skill acquisition and athletic development augments our usefulness to our community. Our community knows that the scope of our services go beyond that of standard physiotherapy and pilates but often find it hard to explain why we are different.
We know why. We are movement therapists and provide movement solutions. We look at the big picture. Our community needs to move more to combat the lifestyle diseases plaguing it. Our role is clear. It is to ensure you have the movement competency and capacity to do the things that you need to do in life and for health, without pain or restriction. For this to last a lifespan we need movement quality first and then quantity. We call this athletic sustainability.
Our toolbox draws front the disciplines of Physiotherapy, Exercise Science & Strength and Conditioning. We discern without bias exactly where and when each modality should applied. It is not a haphazard combination of different modalities but a seamless integration within a unique, wholistic and proven system.
We take pride in our work and in our community. Please don’t hesitate to talk to us about any of the up coming changes.
Aleisha & Erik
